Hi,
I know this is probably a dumb question, but I can't find the answer:
How can I configure an external monitor for my ThinkPad 600, running
Redhat 5.1 (upgraded to kernel 2.0.35). I have X running using the
neomagic XBF from redhat. I also can figure out the modelines for my
external monitor (a Philips 17B), but I don't know what to change in the
XF86Config. Do I need two "Screen" sections? Two "Monitor" Sections? How
do I switch between modes? How do I switch external/internal? I don't
want to risk burning my LCD...
Many thanks,
Juffi
PS: I'm also having problems with sound: I had it working with XBPRO,
0x220, IRQ5, DMA 1, but then I recompiled the kernel and can't get it
going again (modprobe (or what's its name?) crashes!). Can I compile SB
into the kernel?
