Dear Harry
It happened to me a couple of times. It is very weird. The only cure that I know of
is to re-install Win98. I uninstalled and then installed the thinkpad utilities but the
"standby" sub-windows did not come back.
When you try to wake the computer back you need >2 keystrokes. I found that 3
or more keystrokes (e.g .spacebar) usually hang my 365X. In fact, hiting shift and
then keep moving the trackpoint, while waiting 1- 1.75 minutes for the Thinkpad to
wake up, works for me without any trouble. The upper time limit of 1.75 minutes is
required, when a 3Com PCMCIA card is plugged in - Win98 re-installs the 3-com
drivers during that time.
Cheers
Costas
