Hi Friends, and especially

Vernon Wankerl (VWankerl_at_gwrr.com)

This is an update about my query in October asking about attaching a H45
Quick Drive to my parallel port on a 760ED IBM Thinkpad. Thanks to all who
responded with expertise and encouragement. Vern's step by step
instructions were a great help, in fact without his help, I would never
have been successful.

The problem seemed to stem from bad floppy drive software that came with
the H45. A friend of mine also purchased a H45. He used his disks and
Vern's instructions and now all is working wonderfully. I was able to
install Quicken and Family Tree Maker on the Quick Drive as I was running
out of room on my 750 meg hard drive. I am now a happy camper.

My next question is my keyboard is stiff and I have purchased a new
keyboard and a serial mouse to use instead of my 760ED keyboard &
Trackpoint (since I prefer using a mouse) unless I am traveling.

I was thinking of going to the Features section, disabling TP keyboard and
trackpoint and attaching new regular size keyboard & serial mouse. Has
anyone tried this? Or is there another solution?

Thanks for your anticipated comments,

Larose Wynne
