Actually, one good test of a computer mail-order place is whether they advertise in Popular Photography. If they do, then avoid
them like the plague! (The few reputable mail order dealers advertising in Pop Photo
don't do computers, except as relates to digital photography.)
The list of NYC-area computer mail-order places with whom I'll do business
is very short: J&R, Micro Warehouse, Big City Express, and - in a pinch - Excel.
