FYI:

Since I live in the north east area (New Hampshire) I tend to favor
mail-order outfits around me. In all of the ones I have dealt with, I can
say that I honestly trust only two of them:

State Street Discount ( http://www.ssdonline.com )
NECX ( http://www.necx.com )

NECX has a much wider selection, but are a little more difficult to deal
with. For example, I purchased a Viewsonic PS90 monitor, just as I received
it, the price dropped on NECX $100. I called them back before I opened the
box. After haggling a bit, we split the difference and the actually refunded
me $50. Overall I was happy.

State Street is absolutely great! Their very honest and friendly to deal
with. I love ordering through them.

ANY mail-order outfit is going to look great as long as there are no
problems. When you need to do a return, receive the wrong part or the
shipment is late is when you really get to judge a company. I use these
"hard times" to make the above judgements.

not ALL "mailorder" is suspect..
IMO people who are suspicious of YOU, you should be suspicious of...
especially any one in NYC..!
sad to say, some probably good NYC vendors get painted black with the same
brush used to paint the bad guys..

i one tried to buy a laserjet printer from a NYC place, they wanted to sell
me
the toner cartridge..
they failed to mention that it came with the printer..
when i pointed this fact out, the creep hung up on me..
cest'la vie.. buy in LA.. :-)
