This sounds more appropriate. I have purchased quite a bit of hardware
(no thinkpads, though) and have always returned merchandise that arrives
DOA (dead on arrival). I don't see why TPs should be an exception. If I
received a dead machine, I would exchange it for another. If the vendor
refused, I would immediatly place the issue in dispute with my credit card
and have payment suspended. So far, I have never had to do this.
PCConnection sounds like a decent operation, judging from this anecdote
and several others I have heard.
