Hi Donnie....

I am fairly new to the world of laptops but I am used to dealing with
desktop pc's.

If you have a desktop PC you could use or borrow then you could use the same
W95 installation method that I have.
What you need to do is use a product such as Laplink etc to make the CD on
the desktop machine appear as a virtual drive on the laptop, then you use
the desktop CD as if it was connected to the thinkpad. It is incredibly
slow (I left mine overnight) and is probably the most inefficient way of
doing things but it works.

One question - How did you get the original Win 95 on the machine ? I
presume that you used the external CD to read from the disk, therefore you
should have DOS drivers for it?

Finally, I may be interested in buying your old drive if we can negotiate a
good price for both of us. Please reply OFF the list if you are interested
in this proposition.
