Ok... I know that you're not supposed to be able to watch DVD movies
under NT. But, unwilling to accept that, I poke around every few days
to see if someone has a solution.
Then I see this page: http://www.mediamatics.com/dvd_express_qa.htm
If you scroll down a little, you'll read the following:
"DVDExpress works with Windows NT under DirectShow 2.0 today."
Works with NT??? (as I smile and frown)
So does this mean that my Thinkpad 600E with NT4, sp3 can view DVD
movies after all? I think DVDExpress is bundled on one of the shipped
CDs. Of course, my DVD drive is at home... and I don't own a single
DVD movie, so I have no way to test it right now.
Chances are, I'll have to try this one when I get home, but I have a
sinking feeling that there's some weird reason why this won't work...
Any input?
-Al (with a 600E with an unused DVD drive until now...?)
