You don't need additional software for Win95. Attach the PCMCIA enabler to the Selectabase, add power, then add your thinkpad. It will add a new docking configuration and your video will switch to 640x480. Go into the display settings and set monitor appropriately. If you're not using an external monitor set the monitor to LCD 1024x768 (assuming you have the 14.1" lcd). Set resolution and colors. When you want to disconnect, use the Eject PC choice from the start menu. You may need to delete the pcmcia devices from device configuration and let all 4 slots be redetected by rebooting with the thinkpad in the selectabase with enabler.

Subject: Selectabase 770 PC Card Enabler
I was wondering if anyone out there has experience with setting up the PC
Card Enabler with the Selectabase...I had some problems today doing it & if
someone has done it successfully, I'd like to fire some questions at them...
Thanks in advance..
1. Directions are not clear as to whether you have to install any of the
software first that comes with the Enabler...some of it appears to be
redundant in that it has for example, the ThinkPad Config Utility, which is
already on my new 770X...so I assume you do not have to install, does anyone
specifically know what included software that comes with is a must?
2. Do you attach the Enabler to the Selectabase before installing
software...I did this, and all of a sudden my computer added a new docking
configuration & had me re-install my video drivers....at that point, I
deleted the new docking set up & shut down until I got further advice...so I
think I'm back to square one...I did notice during the set up it was going
through, that when the computer detected new hardware, that it installed a
"PCI Bridge" if I'm not mistaken.....
any help in straightening my situation out would be appreciated....
