340 max memory ?

Folks,
Office 97 is choking on my 340 (4 MB + 4 MB = 8MB RAM). I know I can get an
8 MB RAM "credit card" for the 340, but the docs indicate that that's the
max. Has anyone tried a 16 MB "credit card" in a 340? I gather it takes the
same format as the 355, 360, etc.
