I have had a 600 since August during that time:
1) The paint on the palmrest and speaker grill started peeling
2) My '[{' broke
3) The screen started going out and only coming back on if I hit the side
4) Two dead pixels appeared
Talked to IBM Friday before last explained what was wrong including dead
pixels IBM tech support guy said all would be fixed. So I got the Easy
Serve box on Monday sent out the computer on Tuesday and got computer back
on Friday. But they didn't fix everything they replaced keyboard and
keyboard cover, but not speaker grill. They say they replaced video cable,
but screen still goes out and they didn't replace screen, like the IBM guy
said they would. Now they want me to send the computer back, but I'm in
college and have classes the absolutely require the computer! Anyone have
any suggestions? The screen goes out more and more often and it is getting
harder to bring it back. I also checked out local repair centers but they
want at least two working days. Any chance of IBM sending me a new shell?
