Y2K, NT SP4 and Thinkpads

I seem to recall that the NT Service Pack 4 caused problems
when installed on IBM Thinkpads. I don't recall if I saw this
warning on this list or on the IBM Thinkpad web site. I also
don't recall if the problem is specific to some models of the
Thinkpad or to the entire line.

I'm running a TP 380z (P-II, 300Mhz, 96MB) with OS/2 and NT.
Can anybody provide an authoritative source for installing
(or not installing) this service pack? According to this
weeks issue of "InfoWorld", SP 4 is **REQUIRED** to achieve
Y2K compatibility.

Any ideas?
