Hi everybody,
I just got my SelectaBase 600, which is nice, but I have a problem with
my LINUX partition (Red Hat 5.1. Manhattan): LINUX boots up fine, but
when it starts X, it automatically switches from external monitor to
LCD, even though the ThinkPad is closed. It always did that. The
nuisance now is: When I open the ThinkPad to switch to external monitor
with "Fn F7" and then close it again, it Auto-Suspends. Basically, I
only have the option of working with an open docked TP, which is not why
I bought the SelectaBase.
So here's my questions:
* Can I get rid of the problem that it switches from external to LCD
display when starting X?
* Is there a way to perform the "Fn F7" keystroke from an external
keyboard?
* Can I turn off auto-suspend (I guess that should be possible by
recompiling the kernel)?
Many thanks,
Juffi
PS: I also never got my external monitor (a Philips 17C or some such) to
run with 70Hz, as it does under Windows. I can only manage the 60Hz. Any
ideas on that?
