I have a fairly new ThinkPad 770ED (had it about two months). I
have a faulty pixel that has been out for about a week now (and
very noticeable). I have not had a problem this severe before.
I had a ThinkPad 760CD before my 770 and had a couple pixels that
went out for a couple of hours each but not a week (quality is
what convinced me to buy another ThinkPad). The Owner's manual
describes this as a "normal" condition in the troubleshooting
section. A burned out / faulty pixel is hardly what I call a
"normal" condition (especially on a ThinkPad). I have not
contacted IBM warranty service (yet). Has anyone else had this
problem or know what to do about it?
