 Greetings,

I've had the 600 since about July. It is great for traveling and using in
multiple locations. The size is great. The weight is great.

I've had the 770ED since December. It's perfect as a desktop replacement.
The screen is fabulous (side by side, it puts the 13.3 inch 600 screen in
the shade) and the built in features (enhanced video adapter) make it great
for video capture and watching TV(via video in and a vcr out jack). It is
way heavier than the 600 and is a less elegant design. The ultraslimbay in
the 600 does everything the 770's ultrabay does in about half the volume.

IMHO, if you're going to be lugging your PC through airports, don't go for
anything BIGGER THAN a 600 (and it's really too large to deal with in an
airplane in coach: the screen is just too big). If your laptop is basically
a desktop ornament, the 770 can't be beat (and it is still luggable in a
pinch).

Regards,

Neil Halvey

video and audio features and 14.1" screen available on the 770X with
additional weight and case size

I don't need the additional video and audio capabilities, and since
portability is important to me, having to lug the additional size and
weight around to get the 14.1" screen isn't worth it for my needs.
