Hello,

I have a APA-1460A card that I use in my Tpad 365ED. It uses ASPI2DOS.SYS.
You can use the /v switch to see
if it loads properly. I assume the APA-1450A is an earlier version of the
APA-1460A.

ASPI2DOS.SYS is only part of the requirement for dos. You also need to load
the ASPICD.SYS driver
(and MSCDEX as well) for SCSI CD rom usage and the ASPIDISK.SYS for SCSI
disk usage.
The CD Driver and MSCDEX needs command line parameters but I do not think
the disk one does.

        Subject: Help on SCSI PCCard

This may be more of an Adaptec question than a ThinkPad one, but I
thought I'd try to avail myself of some of the vast expertise of the
subscribers to this list.

I have a two ThinkPad 770s (an X and a Z) and two Adaptec SCSI
PCCards (an APA-1450A and a SlimSCSI 1480).  What I can't seem to be able to
do with either notebook or PCCard, is configure a DOS boot floppy which will
give me access to my (SCSI connected) Jaz from a DOS prompt (do I use a
device=ASPIxDOS.SYS in my config.sys? and if so, which 'x', I think I've
tried them all).  [I want to do a Drive Image Backup/Restore to copy a
partition image from one 770 to the other.]  Neither PCCard documentation
>from Adaptec addresses the DOS accessability issue.  I only need to get one
PCCard working ('cause I can use the same boot floppy with that PCCard in
both machines), so I'll settle for either if I can't get both.

Has anyone else done this?  And if so, how?

        Thanks in advance.
