Chuck,
Sorry, I can't seem to go back to the way things were, and I don't have a modem driver that works like before. You would think the IBM restore CD would help on this, but it will put my entire computer back into a Win95 environment after I've spent many hours setting up a pristine version of Win98. I don't know what to do. I'm thinking about adding a 56k modem card and trying to disable the built-in modem.

Kevin,
Can I still get the driver that connected between 51K-53K? Do you think it would work on my i1721?
Thanks,
Chuck

Subject: Slower Modem Connects After Upgrade
After downloading and installing the latest and greatest v.90 upgrade for myTP600's internal 56k modem, my internet connection speeds have dropped >from about 51-53k to 26-28k. It seems that I recently read a post from someone else who had this experience. Does anyone know of a fix to the fix? Thanks in advance.
