I successfully installed the old 4MB dram card after disconnecting the bad memory on the motherboard last week, which gave me 5.7 MB.
However, on plugging in my favoured DIMM board with 16MB, the machine refuses to place that contiguously above the 1664KB so I get 1.6MB instead of 17.6!
Why would this be? I know I'm asking the machine to do an unusual thing in the first place, but why would the 4MB expansion work, and the 16MB one not?
