Don't, it is great. The extra resolution is fantastic, unless you have
the worst eyes on the world. I've have 20/30 vision, and I can see it
fine, though without the need for glasses.

I would think they meant the 8megs of video ram is great for handling more
color depths @ 1280x1024, not rendering speed or Photoshop heaven. I don't see
a mention of graphically accelerated chipsets anywhere. Of course
the z series only seems capable of 8,16 and 32-bit color. @ 32-bit, it drops
its resolution to 1024x768. 16-bit @ 1280x1024. Perplexing....can anyone
explain *why* the z series doesn't handle 1280x1024_at_32-bit or why the
chipset doesn't
support 24-bit?? Am I missing something?? :)

Alas the Inspirion and it's Rage chipset has the memory (8 megs) and graphics
power to truly allow a portable to play games at decent frame rates. :) If
someone purchased a Thinkpad to play games, um, I can sell them a MUCH cheaper
desktop that will trounce it into the ground (unless they get a SelectaDock
III
and slap a good PCI Voodoo2/3 or TNT card in there in which case the Thinkpad
becomes a kicka@@ game machine).
