No, one must not. I've bought a ThinkPad 760. Ok that's a bit old now, but
considering the price it must stay some days... And on that machine OS/2 is
"Supported Platform". (I'm not shure if NT is supported platform there. I mean
officially.) And if I buy a machine from IBM where this or that is "supported"
than I don't think of the ability to search arround IBM's intranet to get a
driver. By support I mean something diffrent. And I told that IBM, too.
