I've recently got an IBM-refurb'ed 760LD. I'm trying to use my Sportster
External Voice modem on it as an answering machine, with no luck.
EZ Setup test on the serial port says it's OK, and the modem lights change
during that test.
Windows95 says the COM port is OK, and that the modem is working.
HyperTerm says it opens the port (I have it set to Direct to COM1), but
the modem lights do not change, and there is no response to any commands I
type.
Any help would be appreciated. Please e-mail me with replies, as I'd
rather not wait for tomorrow's digest.
