Heh heh. In both cases I attribute the crashes to the hard
drive generating a read error which crashed the system.
Whether this is a read error the OS is incapable of handling,
or the hard drive sensing the impact and shutting itself down
to prevent damage, I don't know. I've done it to my desktop
system once when I accidently kicked it.
In all cases, everything worked fine after rebooting. A
testament to the ruggedness of today's computer hardware.
