Indeed, my Port carrying case has the buckles but they seem to be properly
positioned relative to the cradle material so that there are no marks on my
TP600 after months of use. Then again, I haven't piled heavy items on top
of my carrying case while travelling. 99% of the time it's on the road, my
case sits upright on the floor directly behind my seat in the car. This
orientation makes best use of the case's suspension system.

For the record: I have the TP69600-1.8 carrying case, and while it's big, it
has served me very well.
