I thought the recovery CD basically would wipe the HD clean and
install the OS and all the pre-loaded software as how the machine is out
of the box. What does the preload software CD do? I never got one of
those with my 385ED (2635-5EU) so is it basically like everything IBM
loads on top of the barebones OEM Windows OS allowing you to install
everything like how the machines shipped?

Is there anyway to actually save the preloaded apps, utilities to
like zip or CD-R and then reinstall it on another system?
