normally we call these a "clutch".. not a litter.. too close to Liter..in any
event, a normal clutch will produce several small black square eggs with a tiny
IBM logo..
when they hatch out, you will then know what you have..
a workpad, or a 701 or even a 770..
(yes, 701's are still coming out)
the problem is in the diet to achieve maturity..
normally, a diet consisting of trace amounts of latex and silicone with larger
amounts of plastic, carbon, gold, copper, steel and so forth will suffice, but
these requirements change and the late term diet is difficult to manage..
(this is why some infant thinkpads reach maturity with what are called dual scan
displays)..
thus the term infant mortality..
(i have hed some baby thinkpads actually expire while i was hand feeding them)..
