One thing I forgot to mention. You wrote something about FreeBSD. I also run
Linux on my system. If you are planning the same then what you will need to
do is make another partition for Linux within the first 1024 cylinders.
Usually that means within the first 8 gigs.
The best way to do that (that I have found) is use something like partition
magic and resize your D: drive. In my case I took the first gig of the D:
drive and made that my linux drive. Then I took another 128 megs of the end
of the drive and made that the Linux swap file. Runs great. Now if only IBM
would write drivers for linux...
