        Actually, reading that last line is humourous since IBM's own
option won't work in their machines. :-)

        Yeah, you're right. I know they made chips but they certainly
weren't popular.

        Yep, it's probably totally different inside as well. Even the
servicer was surprised that the 770Z was modular while the older 770's he
serviced weren't as modular.

        I guess I'll take a look at Kingston, GoldenRam, Viking, not sure
about PNY though since it seems like even for desktop memory, both modules
of the same size use totally different chips.

        Yep, I wonder how many returns have they gotten since the Crucial

        I guess that's why. The Video card manual probably assumed that
people were using the 770 and 770E.

        Hmmm, it could be the IBM Lan Management thingy that came on the
software selection disk since that seems to open up a DOS prompt to load
during bootup.
