Hi,
I was wondering if anyone could help me with getting some information.
I have a TP 770ED (9549-5AU) and am looking at getting another HD for my
system to be used in the UltraBay - i.e. along side the internal HD. I have
found some good prices for HD's on some auction sites (IBM Travelstar
Drives) and called some people at IBM's tech support for information on
whether it would work with my system. One said that it would work but
another claimed that the only drives I can use are Thinkpad drives (yes,
with the name in front of HD...) I wanted to know if anyone has had any
luck specifically with other brand HD's for use in the UltraBay on the 770
series. Before I shell out the money at an auction for a drive I cannot
use, I want to actually make sure it is possible. (I'm just not in a
position to shell out 1/3 the cost of my machine for another HD...)
