I guess I can accept that regarding the DSP chip,
but am not clear about the RISC chip, used for
motion video, and perhaps other work?

The 760CD's work is divided three ways:
telephone - DSP chip
motion video - RISC chip
other instructions - pentium chip

It is still fuzzy to me whether the RISC chip is dedicated
to motion video? -- and if so, are Thinkpad's without this
extra chip dependent on a stronger cpu for motion
video?
