FWIW, i have used the same old faithful 755 external floppy with every
thinkpad i have ever owned that supported an external floppy..
some of them are: 755CD (through a dock 1 i think) 760CD, 760ED, 765D,
770,ED,X,Z, 600E, 560..
and it appears from the cabling that the 570 which i played with for a few
days, will do so as well..
