Apparently THIS particular TP600E does have an IBM drive..
(i asked about that)
and yes, all are S.M.A.R.T. drives..
but since you mention it, i'm not sure i actually know which utility
actually monitors the smart capability of these drives..

i, personally, use a utility to look at the smart drive... end get data off
it..

a call to IBM might shed some light on this..
