I ran the IBM diagnostics disk,
and the following appeared:

Error dev 113
Err 99
FRU 1610

Replace DSP card (90%)
If it does not solve the problem, replace the System Board (10%)

So, there it is. Probably a bad 'sound' card.

Now to find the cost of FRU 1610 in the IBM maze....
