Hi there,

a few days ago, I mentioned another mailing list in a posting to this
list. This other list is entirely about ThinkPads and Linux. Since then,
several people have asked me how to subscribe to that list.

Instead of sending mails to every single person, I will give directions on
this list. So listen carefully. ;-)

BTW: Remember that Bill Mair, the list maintainer, also coordinates a
petition to make IBM develop drivers for the ACP (a.k.a. MWave) modems.

It's not mentioned explicitly in the welcome message, but subscription is
done via the usual Majordomo way. To subscribe, send email to

        majordomo_at_bm-soft.com

Leave the subject line empty. The body of the message says

        subscribe linux-thinkpad
        end

Enjoy that other list as well,

        Alexander

Welcome to the linux-thinkpad mailing list!

Please save this message for future reference. Thank you.

If you ever want to remove yourself from this mailing list,
you can send mail to <Majordomo_at_bm-soft.com> with the following
command in the body of your email message:

    unsubscribe linux-thinkpad

If you ever need to get in contact with the owner of the list,
(if you have trouble unsubscribing, or have questions about the
list itself) send email to <owner-linux-thinkpad_at_bm-soft.com> .
This is the general rule for most mailing lists when you need
to contact a human.

Here's the general information for the list you've subscribed to,
in case you don't already have it:

INFO: linux-thinkpad_at_bm-soft.com

This list for users of Linux on IBM Thinkpads.

It is NOT moderated so please be aware of this when
sending messages to this list.

The mail IDs of users subscribing to this list will not
be used for any other purpose outside of the context of
this list. That means that no one either at BMS or another
3rd party will be given access to the mailing list.

I hope that you benefit from being on this list and look
forward the interesting discussions which will hopefully
follow.

Bill Mair.
