i don't think this is a NIC issue..its got to be win9x..
machine sees the other machines on the LAN but not itself, and the others don't
see it..!
once it DID see itself, but that lasted only for a few hours, then it changed,
literally right in front of me..
it was no longer there..!!
nothing seems to get it back to seeing itself..
win9x must store the names of the various machines that are on the net, because
some are listed, even though they are not running..
all very annoying.. i'll try reloading to win98Se and see if that helps..
more wasted time! ohhhh, for a good OS that would just stay the way you leave it
and not change itself ona capricious whim..! :-)
