It's off the house! It's even out of the yard!

I have tarp all over my roof, and there are many dead things in my
yard from the removal process. I'll have the pictures up tonight
(I left them at home, darn it). We have had many storms and my
damage was relatively minor, so it'll be a few weeks before they
can fix everything.

Let's hear it for 50 year old houses with solid construction! I
have compression fractures in my plaster (including one impressive
dent in the LR wall) but no broken beams or roof deck! Of course,
the shingles, gutters, and trim are history... I spent the
weekend cleaning up from the removal, but I'm very impressed with
the way my house took a licking. So far I'm very impressed with
AllState, too.

The storms are over for a while, too. We have NORTH winds today
(very odd for Aug). Power problems are now plaguing us: UT lost
power several times over the weekend for "no apparent reason." I
apologize for being out of the loop for the last few days. It's
been kinda hectic!

Now if I can just get the home computer (Dell w/98) to stop
barfing on network transfers. (Kids installed something, now I
have problems...) I hate having to work completely from work!
