My mom just got a 570 and I have been playing with it and found a few things
that I thought were odd.
1)The notebook isn't covered in the rubbery material like other ThinkPads
2)It doesn't have the "ThinkPad bios" with the duck pointer. The only other
ThinkPad that I have seen without it was the 701. With the 701 you could
bring up the bios when ever you needed it(very cool)
3)Hibernating works even if there is a network card in the notebook
4)Hibernating seems quicker then my 600, both going into and waking up from.

After using it for a while I have gotten used to the new material and like
the way it doesn't get dirty like my 600. I also like the fact that you can
hibernate with a network card in the computer, does anyone know how to do
this with a 600? I don't like the new bios its like the generic BIOS's you
find in other computers.

Just looking for comments about these points.

A Kumar
