They dropped the starting bid to $1 for a couple of days, I would guess to try to increase the
number of bidders (I bought one too, last Tuesday, at the $89 starting bid, and for the 15 units offered
only 3 or 4 people had bid). However, as Esmail points out, they then sold very cheap. (Maybe it
isn't such a clever idea to start a bid at $1 then offer 44 units!) Anyway, while I would prefer myself
to have paid $73 for one than $89 or $99, I'm glad that at least one person on this list got a bargain price. (You can always send
me a finders fee:=)

BTW, I see (in their 'just arrived' section) that compgeeks now has the New Media Livewire 10/100 ethernet pcmcia card for $39. I
have an earlier model of the Livewire, and think it is a decent card. (There should be lots of New Media stuff around at resellers,
since they went belly up about a year ago,
and their remaining stock should now finally have made it through the courts. New Media had good products, middling support, and
terrible marketing - not the accepted recipe for commercial success!)
