My Matrix DVD was forced me to install a bunch of software before I was
able to play it.
(I did NOT allow to go out to the internet and download other stuff)

It does play the CD properly now.

North American Region ; but from the second shipment.

Actually, I just read a story on (I believe it was) CNN that The Matrix's
release, as well as other releases that have PC-related features as well,
have some hiccups. So, it's not just you -- it's the disk. Sorry!
