Thanks to all who replied to my initial question pertaining to the Li-Ion
batteries I just purchased, especially Bill, Denis and Mark B. (whose junk pile
I dream of assaulting someday!).
As the consensus of opinion had it, it was a case of getting the completely
depleted batteries up to a charge state where the 755 would/could "see"
them. I charged both batteries in my recently received Travel Quick Charger
and then ran the two 755's to shutdown.
Upon re-connecting the 755 to the charger, the charging circuit came on,
stayed on and charged the batteries without difficulty.
