380ED battery

I need a new battery for my ThinkPad 380ED.

The LiOn ones that I've seen on a few web sites go from $180-220.

But there's also a couple of sites that list a NiMh model for this model for
more like $80-90.

I know that the LiOn came with the machine, but is there any reason not
to use the NiMh one instead?

Or does anybody have a good source for the LiOn?
