I have a HP USB scanner, but my suspend problem occurs regardless of whether
it's connected or not. Whose scanner are you using?

I have the same issue on my 770Z, but only when my USB scanner is attached.
Do you have any USB devices connected while trying to suspend?

Earlier this week my 770Z mysteriously stopped suspending. I had not just
installed anything. I'm using Win98SE over the original preinstall version
of Win98. When I go to Standby from the Start/Shutdown button I get a
message saying that either a driver or a software program is preventing the
laptop from entering standby.

Anyone have any ideas where the problem might be?
