Andrew..
1. you do NOT need to upgrade to win98 to get all of a 10gig to be
seen..
2. for fat32, win95B is all that is required..
3. if no fat32 is wanted, then ANY windows should see that 10gig.. but
in 5 partitions..
4. I have upgraded my 600 several times from the IBM preload to win98
and it goes nicely once i overcame the silliness generated by MS..
my two cents is do the recovery then upgrade to win98 if you still want
to do it.. :-)
