My name is George McDowell, and I purchased a 730T used from Globalmonitor. #1 question: will any external fdisk work on the mobile docking station?
I tried the external floppy kit from my 760 (which ironically doesn't work with my 760 *grin* ),
and that works just fine. The floppy it uses is the type found in, of course, the 760, 755, 750, 360,
and 355 ThinkPads.
#2:Is this how you load a pen application through a fdisk?
Same way you would on a notebook with a keyboard. You're going to need the docking
station to hook up the floppy anyways, so you should be able to then put on an external
keyboard as well...
#3: Where can I download the OS needed to run pen as I can't get passed the msdos "correct date /time y-n. If you have some information I could use,
would you please send it to me?
If you have another ThinkPad available to you, preferably a 750 or 755, you could load Win95 that way,
though the method I did it is that you'd need a spare HD, and have the cabs on that spare drive.
If you or anyone else has questions, feel free to ask me.
I might be slightly slow at responding, as I now work for a major ISP, thus
I haven't had time to answer all my emails like I used to.
Paul
