Yes it's got the multi-connector on the side for the modem/telephone/headset. Might be useful if I could get a lead for it, although usually I'd prefer using my pcmcia 56k one.
Even if you do have the DSP upgrade, your maximum throughput with software upgrades is 33.6K baud, and that not very reliably. 28.8 is about the most you can expect on the DSP. Disable the DSP modem and stick with your PCMCIA one, you'll be much happier.
So that implies mwave which implies 800x600. I can select 800x600 in the W95 screen setup, but when I reboot it forces me back to 640x480 - why is this? I haven't seen any screen drivers at the IBM mobiles site for W95.
It's proof that 800X600 is not supported by your machine, ergo it must be an SBJ or SBK model. Check the device driver matrix for specific drivers for your machine at: http://www.pc.ibm.com/us/support/thinkpad/tpopsys.html
Of course it could be a 640x480 with optional mwave installed.
My thoughts exactly.

James
