Hi kids,
Name's Rich. One of your friendly neighbourhood lurkers.
I've got a TP560 2640-10U (72M, 2G, P133) running Win
95 OSR2 with a Motorola Mariner combo 28.8 modem and
ethernet PC card.
The last couple of weeks ole "Stinky" has been weirding
out on me bigtime, so I finally broke down and reinstalled
W95 and all the other bloatware. Amazing, how much much
more sprightly the machine is now. If you've been running
95 for a while, I urge you to try the occasional reinstall.
Problem is, I can't make the friggin thing suspend any more.
Start->Suspend, Fn-F4 and the Stop button on the PC Card
(PCMCIA) Properties control panel all freeze the machine
but good.
I've heard there can be problems suspending laptops with
PC card ethernet cards under 95, but what bugs me is
that Suspend used to work before I reinstalled everything.
I've tried installing different versions of the Motorola drivers,
and fiddling with various settings, but all to no avail. Has
anybody out there experienced the same thing? I'm pretty
much at my wit's end now.
TIA for all your help,
Rich

And thanks to all regular contributors for making this list
such a good read. You kids are alright.
