That is very true. However, it may not have helped in this case. If the
problem is an incompatibility between the HD and the new system board then it
would still be there even if the drive didn't go along to EZ-Serve.

Come to think of it, maybe it would be worth checking the drive in another
Thinkpad to see if it would work?
