Now I understand what you mean. That is a feature of NT's PCMCIA support
- no hot swap. However, CardWorks drivers are available from IBM for
many ThinkPad models - I was installing them today on some 380's - and
they do support hot swapping of some devices. You may like to have a
look at these, if they're available for your model. Look at the ThinkPad
device driver matrix for NT PCMCIA support for your machine. I've never
tried the CardWorks drivers specifically with flash cards, though.
