Bill,
Moderating it yourself is probably the best way. Myself, I prefer to
read entire pages of complaints or compliments, with links at the top. A
threaded forum makes reading slow and difficult, IMHO.
One example of a complaint page whose format I like is against Fry's
Electronics. The URL is http://www.accesscom.com/~dave6592/frys.html.
For those of us unfamiliar with Fry's this is a good introduction. It's
a little out of date, and Fry's has started hiring floor staff with some
technical knowledge, but it's a still a good read. It actually extends
to 18 (!) pages, but the first few pages should give you the gist of the
topic. Still, if you're like me and can't stop at page one, it's quite
an experience reading every incident. This page mixes the compliments
and complaints, though, and I would like the new bouquet/brickbat pages
to be separate.
I would like each incident dated and linked, with the newest incidents
at the top, and the oldest ones moved to another page. To me, it allows
for rapid browsing for updates, and simple chronological reading for
newcomers.
