A new file called "TP 600 - CD/DVD-ROM Firmware Update Utility Diskette" has
appeared on the TP Support web site.

It says:

"This Firmware Update Utility Diskette updates the CD/DVD-ROM firmware
stored in the CD/DVD-ROM drive to fix problems, add new functions, or expand
functions as noted below. The supported models are as follows.

- ThinkPad 600, 600E"

and

"1.00 - (New) Initial Release to support Windows2000(*)"

I have a TP 600 (2645-41U) PII/233 model with a stock CD-ROM Drive.

Do I gain anything by applying this update?
