But the modules aren't proprietary--they're just standard 72-pin FPM
non-parity 3.3V SO-DIMMs. I bought a 32 MB module from Alpha Memory
(memory.com) for fifty-something dollars a few months ago, while they and
others were selling SO-DIMMs specifically designated for the 701 for anywhere
>from $70 to $150, and it works flawlessly in my Thinkpad. The question Tom
raised is, since a standard 32 MB SO-DIMM will work in the 701, might a
standard 64 MB SO-DIMM work as well, despite IBM never having sold one for
the Butterfly?
